5.4 Backplane Replacement

To replace a backplane, please follow the instructions below.

Turn off and disconnect the workstation from all power sources.

Remove the workstation from the rack in which it is installed.

Open the top cover of the RPC-6022GW Rackmount LCD Workstation. (See

Section 4.5.1)

Remove the CPU card clamp. (See Section 4.5.2)

Disconnect and remove all CPU cards (see Section 5.2) and PCI/ISA expansion

cards (see Section 4.5.9).

Remove the retention screws that secure the backplane to the workstation (see

Section 4.5.7).

Remove the backplane from the chassis

Install a new backplane into the chassis.

Reinstall and reconnect all CPU cards (see Section 4.5.8) and PCI/ISA

expansion cards (see Section 4.5.9).

Close the back cover of the workstation and reinstall the workstation into the

cabinet or rack in which it was previously installed. Refer to Section 4.6 for

complete mounting instructions. Step 0:
